The Consequence of Noise and Silence

An experimental documentary that captures the dislocated experience of residents in Darwin, Australia when Cyclone Tracy devastated the city on Christmas Eve, 1974. Enveloped in noise, residents of Darwin listened, as the cyclone destroyed their homes, leaving 41,000 of it’s 47,000 inhabitants homeless. As the deafening noise subsided, they found their lives in ruins and a haunting silence in its wake.
